EURADOS WG2 – Survey of Individual Monitoring Services (IMS) - Extended deadline 30 April

15 April '22
WG2 Survey Task

The EURADOS Working Group 2 – Harmonization of Individual Monitoring in Europe – has launched a Survey of Individual Monitoring Services (IMS)

This survey was developed in collaboration with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) TC85/SC2/WG19 “Individual monitoring of external radiation”. This working group elaborates standards dealing with personal dosimetry such as, for instance, the ISO-14146 standard giving criteria and performance limits for the periodic evaluation of dosimetry services and the ISO-21909 standard to type-test the passive neutron dosemeters. ISO/TC85/SC2/WG19 has now started to develop two new documents: one of them will impact directly IMSs by giving recommendations and requirements about:

  • The calculation of the characteristic limits and the uncertainties,
  • How to take into consideration background (subtraction…),
  • The quality tests to check the stability of the treatment process,
  • Etc.

That is why, it was decided with ISO/TC85/SC2/WG19 and EURADOS WG2 to use WG2 network and experience to conduct a survey in order to have an up-to-date photography of the routine practices.  So, as a first stage, we need to collect data on different practices and concerns.

You will need about 1 hour to complete it. Please note that the data are recorded, so you can fill it in several times if you wish.

More details about the context / outputs / data security policy / technical issues, please read the invitation letter below. For any queries, please send an email to marie-anne [dot] chevallier [at] irsn [dot] fr (marie-anne[dot]chevallier[at]irsn[dot]fr).
