EURADOS has decided to establish a pilot group – Dosimetry in Nuclear Medicine within the EURADOS association. EURADOS sees the high relevance and benefit of this cross-cutting topic – nuclear medicine dosimetry to EURADOS from setting up this new pilot group.

This pilot group aims to increase the visibility of EURADOS in the nuclear medicine dosimetry research in Europe. The group takes the EURADOS Vision 4, Challenge 4.2 – “Improving patient dosimetry in nuclear medicine” as its strategic starting point. It will contribute to improving the patient dosimetry of radionuclide therapy and apply AI technology in the nuclear medicine dosimetry, in cooperation with other associations in Europe as well as in close collaboration to the existing Working Groups within EURADOS.

The first pilot group meeting will take place in Belgrade during the EURADOS Annual Meeting 2022 on Monday, 31st January 2022 at 13:30-18:00 and on Tuesday, 1st February 2022 at 13:30-18:00, where the detailed work plan for the next 2-3 years will be presented and discussed. Furthermore, a joint meeting of the new pilot group with WG 6, 7 and 12 is planned on Wednesday, 2nd February 2022 at 9:00-10:30 to discuss the future cooperation in nuclear medicine dosimetry within EURADOS.

EURADOS welcomes experts in the nuclear medicine to join this new pilot group.
