EURADOS Intercomparison 2025 for H*(10) and Hp(10) passive dosimetry systems for emergency use (IC2025emg)
EURADOS Working Group 3 SG 2 offers the possibility of participating in the 2025 intercomparison for passive area dosemeters using the EURADOS intercomparison online platform. Besides testing area dosemeters, the focus of this intercomparison is evaluating the extent to which personal dosemeters can be used in case of an emergency as surrogates of environmental dosemeters.
The 2025emg intercomparison is intended for H*(10) and Hp(10) passive dosemeters with the possibility of choosing the measurement condition: 1 month outdoor and/or 3 months outdoor. Extra irradiations with photon radiation will be carried out in an accredited irradiation laboratory: rotating 137Cs irradiations to cover all angles, roughly at mid-measurement period time.
Registration:
Registration is possible at: https://www.eurados-intercomparison.org/ic2025emg/
Participation Fee:
The participation fee is 1000 € for one dosimetry system and 800 € for any additional system. For EURADOS sponsors the price is 900 € for one system and 800 € for any additional system.

Intercomparison procedure:
Participants are required to complete the application form which can be accessed after registration on the online platform. Upon acceptance of the application, the participants will receive an invoice from EURADOS along with further instructions. Please ensure that, before the given deadline, 12 dosemeters per system are sent to the irradiation laboratory:

After the measurement periods, the irradiation laboratory will return the dosemeters to the participants for readout. Within one month, the participants should submit their 12 dosemeter results in terms of ambient dose equivalent. After confirmation of the results, EURADOS will provide the final response results in a “Certificate of Participation”.
Intercomparison results will be treated by EURADOS as confidential data and participants identity will not be disclosed. Data used in technical and scientific studies will be anonymous.
