Young Scientist Grant and Award Winners 2024
Congratulations!
It is our great pleasure to announce that the EURADOS Grant and Award Selection Committee and Council have selected Maria Karampiperi and Matteo Bolzonella as winners of the 2024 EURADOS Young Scientist Grant and Award.
We invite both candidates to participate in the 2025 EURADOS Annual Meeting, which will be held in Bucharest, Romania from 24th to 27th of February 2025. They will present their excellent work in a 5 min talk during our General Assembly on 26th of February 2025 in Bucharest.
Young Scientist Grant 2024
The objective of the EURADOS Young Scientist Grant is to support the exchange of young scientists between Voting Members. The research work carried out within EURADOS working groups is the frame of the Grant to be assigned every year. Priority is given to proposals directly linked with activities mentioned in the EURADOS Strategic Research Agenda (SRA). The EURADOS Grant consists of up to 4000 € for travel costs for the research stay and was awarded to
Maria Karampiperi, Lund University, Sweden (WG10) for her work on “IndAccDos – investigation of novel methods for INDividualised ACCident DOSimetry”.
The research stay at UK Health Security Agency (supervised by Jonathan Eakins) is planned for April 2025.
Young Scientist Award 2024
The EURADOS Young Scientist Award will be given to proposals directly linked with activities mentioned in the EURADOS Strategic Research Agenda (SRA). The EURADOS Award consists of 500 € and was awarded to
Matteo Bolzonella, Paul Scherrer Institute, Switzerland (WG2) for his work on “Passive neutron dosimetry with PADC track detectors – Novel applications and optimization of individual monitoring”.
