PIANOFORTE training course on "MESH phantom development and implementation for radiation physics calculations", 30 September – 4 October 2024, CIEMAT, Spain
Purpose
The PIANOFORTE training course on "MESH phantom development and implementation for radiation physics calculations" is organised by EURADOS Working Group 6 “Computational Dosimetry” and will be held from 30 September – 4 October 2024 at CIEMAT, Madrid, Spain. The school will give general and practical information on MESH phantoms, their development and implementation into several Monte Carlo code packages, as well as selected applications. The school will be composed of lectures, tutorials and practical exercises given by experts in the field.

- Steps needed to go from image data to a MESH phantom
- ICRP 145 Adult mesh-type reference computational phantoms
- Animation of MESH phantoms
- Implementation in different Monte Carlo codes (prospectively: MCNP family, Geant4, PHITS)
- Dosimetric calculations with MESH phantoms

The registration fee will cover lunches, coffee breaks and a social dinner of the 4.5 d training course (Monday afternoon to Friday).
